Photo School Series concept

Photo School series book spinesThe Michael Freeman Photo School series is inspired by the real-world learning of photography, and as such is broken down into two parts, the ‘fundamentals’ series (the white books) and the specialisms (the black books). If you’re familiar with college course designations, then you might think of the white covers as being 101, 102, 103 & 104, and the black covers as being 20(x) courses. Additionally a combined Fundamentals book brings together the most essential elements of the first four books.

This is an original, collaborative approach to developing your photographic skills.

All the books feature three distinct ways of learning each subject area; the basic knowledge presented cleanly and clearly like a top-quality textbook (but in plain English), followed be a ‘challenge’ that you, as a reader, can undertake in order to hone the relevant skills. Finally a selection of images taken to meet that challenge are reviewed by Freeman himself.
